The Pubs

Here are the pubs in order

The Cutty Sark

A really great pub to start us off.  I am hoping to have organised bacon sandwiches and for them to be open at 11 sharp.  A Youngs Pub so good beer. More details at the Cutty Sark

The Trafalgar Tavern

Right next door to the Old Naval College.  This is another great pub with super friendly staff.  Another pub that is about 200 years old with a great variety of beer

Trafalgar Tavern

Gipsy Moth

Bizarrely the Gipsy Moth Pub is right beside the Cutty Sark (Ship not pub).  it is a bit of a disappointment after the first two but is still a decent watering hole and good prep for the 350 steps down and up to go under the river.  There is normally a street food market outside too.

The Grapes

A bit grotty to be honest but it is owned by Ian Mcklellan and does have the original Gandalf's Staff behind the bar.  I am told the ladies toilets are to be avoided.

The Prospect of Whitby

Our final pub and another very old pub.  The alleyway to the right of the front door is where pirates were led to be strung up at low tide.  The pub has been around since 1521 and the orginal stone floor still survives.  The Prospect of Whitby

Sports Bar & Grill

Right in the heart of Canary Wharf and directly above the Elizabeth Line station it is a sports bar so not exactly the same vibe as everywhere else but a good stop over on the way.  Sports Bar & Grill

Waterman's Arms

This important pub was added to assist those Gentlemen of a certain age who need to ease springs every 20 minutes one they have started drinking.  Waterman's Arms

The Gun

Great pub (actually where I held part of my wedding reception). Lovely outside terrace right by the river.  Most people ate here last time although we overwhelmed the kitchen a bit.  Great beer though. The Gun.  This is not the one in Spitalfields Jerry.
